Newquay town council will be lighting the beacon to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, France.

The beacon lighting will take place at the iconic Newquay landmark, the Huer’s Hut.

The sky is to be lit with beacons around the world at 9:15pm in an official national ceremony to mark the incredible achievement of the military forces.

Join us from 8:30 pm with a the St Mawgan Military Wives Choir to kick off the event.
