Newquay has an exciting festival events calendar and is known to host some of Cornwall’s biggest events!

Boardmasters Festival

Newquay is the perfect venue to host an event and is a popular place for festivals to be held throughout the year. The most famous is Boardmasters Festival, which brings thousands of people to the South West in August to watch world-class headline acts perform (like Snoop Dogg and Ed Sheeran) at one of Newquay’s finest event settings - overlooking the stunning Watergate Bay Beach.

Newquay Beer Festival 

The festival, which began in 2013, runs from 11am to 11pm on Friday and Saturday 19th and 20th September and from 12 noon to 7pm on Sunday 21st September. There’s great live music throughout with event signing off on Sunday to Cornish favourites Rudi’s Message – the five piece ska/two-tone tribute band covering hits by Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners, The Selecter and The Beat to name a few.

We are also delighted to welcome back One for the Road who will be headlining Saturday night after they went down a storm for their first outing at Newquay Beer Festival in 2023. The amazing Qwest will be headling on the Friday evening getting everyone into the party spirt. Loads more fantastic musicians supporting us again this year and we will be shouting about them during the next few months so keep a look out to see what’s on offer.

Newquay at Christmas

Newquay at Christmas is one of our favourites and one to get you into the Christmas spirit. Here you can enjoy a weekend of festive loveliness - from the Christmas Light Switch On and Children’s Lantern Parade, late night shopping, the Newquay Christmas Market, and many more Christmassy activities throughout the weekend to keep the family happy.
