Newquay is easy to reach for your holiday vacation, and also serves as an ideal base to visit other locations in the County.
By Air
Newquay is the only town in Cornwall with an Airport. Cornwall Airport Newquay is just 5 miles from Newquay town centre with direct links to London and other destinations in the UK. There are also routes to Europe cities and fast track connections worldwide. The Airport has two car hire companies based there, Hertz and Europcar, and is on a bus route from Newquay town centre.
By Bus
Cornwall is served by several bus companies. Newquay is served by 'Transport for Cornwall' & 'First Kernow'.
To plan your journey or find a current timetable:
Transport for Cornwall: www.transportforcornwall.co.uk
First Kernow: www.firstgroup.com/cornwall
or for all types of public transport: www.traveline.info
There is also the 'Transport for Cornwall' app available to dowload for your phone from the relevant app store. This has travel planners, timetables, active bus tracking and ticketing options.
By Rail
Newquay is on its own branch line, the Par to Newquay Atlantic Coast Line. Par is the connection to the Plymouth to Penzance main line and is just outside St Austell, on the Cornish south coast. The Plymouth to Penzance mainline then connects country wide.
By Road
Newquay is served by several main roads and can easily be reached by North or South routes.
By Coach
Newquay is part of the National Express network with the main stop at our central bus station. Newquay Tourist Information Centre is a booking agent for National Express so we can book your tickets in the office when you are here.
In some case the National Express Coach service may be a better option for your journey being quicker or more direct. Unfortunately they may only run once or twice a day. They can be worth considering for trips to Plymouth or Penzance from Newquay. You can book them in the Visit Newquay Tourist information centre (we are agents) or online at Coach Travel & Airport Transfers | National Express
