Scuba Diving

There is nothing quite like swimming in the undersea world, experiencing those hidden landscapes and joining the marine wildlife in their element.

The simplest way of doing this is snorkelling on organised tours safely accompanied by fully qualified instructors. There are several options in Newquay including Dive Newquay and Newquay Sea Safari’s both offering snorkelling sessions. In addition, Newquay sea Safari’s have their added Shark Cage Diving experience (which still only requires only the use of a snorkel). For deeper dives and much longer duration visits underwater the best option is scuba diving.

Scuba Diving involves the use of full underwater breathing equipment and a certain amount of training. Companies such as Dive Newquay offer three day courses to qualify as a diver enabling you to then dive down up to 12 metres accompanied by a fully qualified instructor. Training normally entails several pool dives and sea dives so you can gain an internationally recognised qualification for the beginner plus intermediate and advanced dive courses.
