Family-Friendly Attractions

Enjoy some well earned family time at one of Newquay's and surrounding areas family-friendly attractions. 

• Lappa Valley Steam Railway: A charming miniature railway that delights children and adults alike. Don't miss Lappa Valleys Grand Fireworks Displays on 31st October and 1st November 2024.
• Camel Creek: Enjoy pumpkins, scenic photo ops, and seasonal fun across the adventure park. Every child gets a free pumpkin (while stocks last), with extras available for purchase. 
• Blue Reef Aquarium: Dive into the underwater world without getting wet, perfect for those occasional rainy days. 
• Trerice Manor - National Trust: During half term week, come dressed up in your favourite Halloween costume and explore Trerice! They will have dragon themed activities, including storytelling and 'Trerice dragon school', where you can learn how to train your dragon.
• Screech Owl Sanctuary: The Sanctuary has one of the largest collection of owls in the Southwest with over 70 owls ranging over 30 different species from all over the world.

Wrap Up Warm and Go for a Walk

One of our favourite things to do in autumn is wrap up warm and go to Cardinham Woods. 
As you walk beneath the canopy of trees, you'll be surrounded by a kaleidoscope of reds, oranges, and yellows. The crisp leaves underfoot and the gentle rustle of branches create a symphony of autumn sounds. During October Half Term, families can enjoy the Gruffalo Party Trail, offering young adventurers extra motivation to keep trekking through this seasonal wonderland.
