Getting Here
Getting to Newquay could not be easier with a train station, bus station and is only 6 miles from Cornwall Airport Newquay!
By Bus
Cornwall is served by several bus companies. Newquay is served by 'Transport for Cornwall' & 'First Kernow'.
To plan your journey or find a current timetable:
Transport for Cornwal: www.transportforcornwall.co.uk
First Kernow: www.firstgroup.com/cornwall
Newquay is on the North coast of Cornwall and direct bus services run to Truro, Padstow, and St Austell. The Eden project currently requires you to change at St Austell. As a rough guide, most buses to destinations further than 15miles (22km) will involve changes so for example Newquay to St Ives or Falmouth involve changing at Truro.
By Coach
Newquay is part of the National Express network and the main stop is at Newquay Bus Station on Manor Road, just off the town centre. There is a secondary stop at Porth Four Turns but this is for passengers with hand luggage only as the vehicle cannot stop long enough to open its main luggage compartment. Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre is a booking agent for National Express and we can book your ticket in the office on Marcus Hill, TR7 1BD open 7 days a week.
We now sell National Express Coachcard’s.
By Train
Newquay is on its own branch line, the Par to Newquay Atlantic Coast Line. Par is the connection to the Plymouth to Penzance main line and is just outside St Austell, on the Cornish south coast. The Plymouth to Penzance mainline then connects countrywide. In the Summer, normally from the end of May to the end of September, Newquay has direct trains from London, Bristol, Birmingham, Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland (subject to operator changes or replacements). There is a daily London service from Newquay during July and August. Great value fares can be found if you book in advance, the earlier you book the more you save.
The railway station is located in the heart of the town on Cliff Road. The train station is seasonally manned. The station does not have an automated ticket machine so when the ticket office is not open tickets can be bought either on the train or online. Branch lines from the Plymouth/Penzance main line also serve St Ives, Falmouth and Looe. St Ives can get particularly busy for traffic in the Summer so the ‘Park and Ride, 5 miles out of St Ives at Lelant Saltings, is a good option. Bus connections put other areas and attractions in Cornwall within easy reach.
By Air
Cornwall Airport Newquay is 5 miles (8km) North of Newquay and is served by the Newquay to Padstow bus service (Number 56). Newquay rail station is in the centre of Newquay. Car hire is available at the Airport.
The international airport offers daily, all-year-round services from various UK & some international destinations
