Join us from 5th – 26th April for a cracking Easter adventure! Whether you’re searching for hidden surprises, learning about our amazing wildlife, or simply soaking up the springtime atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Easter Egg Trail
Grab your trail sheet at the entrance and set off on an egg-citing adventure around the zoo! Follow the map to track down hidden eggs, crack the secret word, and claim your prize. Along the way, test your knowledge with fun quiz questions and activities designed to keep all ages entertained. As you explore, you’ll discover some of the world’s rarest and most bizarre egg-laying animals, plus, get up close to some of our cheeky residents – including lemurs, lynx, warty pigs, and a flying rainbow of birds! Ready to get cracking? Let the hunt begin!
Ranger Talks & Activities
Our rangers are cracking open a world of fun this Easter with daily animal talks, fascinating feeds, and egg-themed activities for all ages! Don’t miss the chance to learn all about our incredible residents – including our very own egg-laying penguins – while watching them enjoy their mealtimes. Plus, join in with Easter games and hands-on engagement activities that bring the wonders of wildlife to life. With their passion and expert knowledge, our rangers make every visit to Newquay Zoo unforgettable—so be sure to stop by, ask questions, and enjoy some egg-stra special experiences!
Delicious Easter Treats
Is it even a day out if there’s no ice cream? Café Lemur is serving up family favourites, from hearty breakfast baps to delicious lunches – plus a special homemade Scotch egg, freshly made for Easter (egg-citing, right?). For a picnic-perfect feast, Tippy’s Takeaway has tasty grab-and-go options to enjoy on the lawn or in the Secret Garden. And don’t forget to hop over to Ices for scoops of dreamy ice cream and other sweet treats. Bringing your own picnic? You’re welcome to nestle down in our outdoor seating areas and enjoy a bite in the spring sunshine!
Meet The Easter Hare
Think you know Easter? Think again… This Easter, bring the family to Newquay Zoo for a magical adventure! Meet the hilarious Easter Hare for an incredible storytelling session to uncover the real story behind the Easter bunny (spoiler: it’s actually an ‘egg-laying’ hare!) which will have the whole family in stitches.
Storytelling sessions will take place on The Pavilion lawn (#10 on the zoo map) at 1:30pm and 3:30pm on these select dates only:

Celebrate our native species in spring
Plus! Visit our native nature activity hub in the Bird Hide (#6 on the zoo map), where you can enjoy fun self-guided activities like colouring and puzzles – all inspired by the amazing wildlife that thrives in spring at our zoo. It’s a lovely, peaceful spot to unwind, watch our vasa parrots swoop overhead, and discover more about the incredible native species found right here in Cornwall.
