The Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre is open 7 days a week, all year round and located in the centre of Newquay on Marcus Hill.
What We Do at the TIC
We are dedicated to both the promotion of Newquay and to help you make the most of your visit to Newquay and Cornwall! You can call in and see us when you are in the area for a full range of holiday information, maps books, attraction tickets and accommodation bookings. We also produce the Visit Newquay Destination Guide each year which you can order and we will send you a copy free of charge, or it is available to view and download online!
How To Find Us
Heading either from the East or West, drive towards Newquay Town Centre. From the West take the Mount Wise exit from the Gannel Link Road roundabout, from the East follow the main traffic flow up Berry Road and onto Mount Wise. From the East, Marcus Hill is the third turning on the right and from the West it is the third turning on the left off of Mount Wise. Newquay Tourist Information Centre is towards the bottom of the hill on the left. Sat Nav postcode: TR7 1BD.
From the Bus Station: When you arrive at Newquay Bus Station, head East along Manor Road until you reach the junction at the end of the road. Turn right up Marcus Hill, walk around 50 metres (49 yards) and we are located on the right hand side.
From the Train Station: When you leave the entrance of Newquay Train Station, turn left onto Cliff Road. Keep walking straight for around 5-10 minutes. Continue walking past places like the Post Office, Nationwide and Argos. You will see Kayes Chemist on your left, and just after that, a hill on the left hand side. Turn left on to Marcus Hill. We are then located 50 metres (49 yards) up the hill on the right hand side.

1. Accomodation Booking Service
Although the Visit Newquay Website has a selection of all types of accommodation and allows you to book online, we also offer an accommodation booking service for Newquay and the surrounding area when you visit our office. (We can normally find accommodation in other locations in Cornwall too!)
2. Events Tickets & Bookings
The Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre sells tickets and bookings for events and activities including discounted Eden Project tickets, Boardmasters, local events, shows and much more! We can also book surfing lessons and other activities, and provide discount vouchers for attractions & activities and events. Tickets are usually available online for the larger events such as Boardmasters, but tickets for smaller events may only be available in the office.
3. Bus Trips
If you want to explore Cornwall, come in and see us at The Visit Newquay Information Centre, where we can help you plan your days and look up public transport timetables.
4. Left Luggage
The Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre offers a 'Left Luggage' service for a small fee. It's ideal if you have left your accommodation and still have hours to wait before your air, rail or coach connection! We offer the service during our opening hours only, with no overnight service. Conditions apply.
Please note. Luggage is left at your own risk. Visit Newquay Tourist information Centre makes every effort to store your luggage safely however we cannot be held liable for any connection with COVID-19 or Coronavirus.
5. Wheelchair Hire
We also offer wheelchair hire at the Tourist Information Centre. Wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis but can be pre-booked. Please call 01637 838516 or email newquay.tic@newquay.town.
We charge £7.00 per day (cash only) or £35.00 per week (cash only) and also require a £50.00 cash only deposit returned upon return of the Wheelchair. Please note; we can only accept cash for the hire and deposit charges. Wheelchairs can be collected and returned at the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre during normal opening hours.
6. Guidebooks, Maps and Gifts
We have a large selection of maps and guidebooks including OS maps, touring guides, walking maps & books, Cycle paths. Our range of books also cover local interest: Cornish Mining, local myths and legends, smuggling, geology, rail, cookery and many more. We also stock some fascinating books on the history of the area with many old photos and images of old Newquay. We now stock beautiful gifts too, locally hand crafted in Newquay and around Cornwall.

1. Parking at the TIC
The nearest car park to the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre is Manor Road Car Park (Postcode: TR71BD). The Car Park is located just behind us. If you come out of the entrance at the top of the car park, turn left, then at the end of that road turn left again. Walk down the hill around 20 metres (19 yards) and we are located on the left hand side.
2. Public Toilets
Unfortunately, we do not have any public toilets available for use at the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre. However, the nearest toilet is located approximately 100 metres (100 yards) from the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre. Turn left out of the centre, cross the road at the bottom of the hill and you will see Frankie and Bennies and some steps on the right hand side. Follow the building round to the right, and you will find the toilets. They are 20p to use.
3. Accessibility at the TIC
The Visit Newquay Tourist Information office entrance is located on a small flat area reached from the pavement by a gentle slope or several steps. The doorway is single width which is fine for wheelchairs and can be accessed by mobility scooters.
Access within the Tourist Information: The shop is open plan with easy access for wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters to move around. We have a low desks ideal for visitors in wheelchairs and PC screens that can be turned to the customer for the easy reading of information. Much of the retail stock is accessible from a wheelchair but there are always staff on hand to reach any higher items.
Disabled Toilets: Unfortunately the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre has no toilets available for use by the general public. The nearest Disabled Toilet is located approximately 100metres (100yds) from the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre.
Hearing Impaired Customers: There are no hearing loops in the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre but all service dogs are welcome.
Visually Impaired Customers: The signs are not written in Braille but staff are happy to assist visitors with visual impairments. All dogs, and therefore all guide dogs are welcome in the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre.
Nearest Car parking: The Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre does not have a car park. There is a public area on the other side of the road that can be used to pick up or drop off, including the wheelchairs which are for hire. The nearest car park is the Cornwall Council car park, The Manor on St Michael's Road, TR7 1BD. The :Manor car park is a pay and display car park with several disabled parking bays. Blue badge holders must pay the normal parking fees unless the vehicle is registered under Cornwall Council's exemption scheme or the vehicle is especially adapted for the benefit of the driver. Please remember that you do need to register your car with Cornwall Council beforehand. (Tel: 0300 1234 222) There is one car entrance to the car park on St Michael's Road side of the car park plus two pedestrianised slopes to the car park at either end of the car park on the opposite, Manor Road, side. To visit the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre you can leave the car park by the car entrance on St Michael’s road, turn left continuing on St Michael’s Road for about 50m (50yds) until you reach Marcus Hill then turn left down Marcus Hill with the wall on your left, finally turning left again into the slope access immediately after the wall ends. Alternatively by going down the East side slope you can reach the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre by turning right and going up the hill.

Music Free Environment: The Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre does not have background music or other intrusive background noises.
Wheelchair Hire: As detailed above we do offer wheel chair hire service.
4. We're Pet Friendly!
We allow pets into the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre! As long as they are well behaved and on lead. We also often leave a bowl of water outside on warm days. We have a 'pet friendly' section in the store, providing 'Dog Friendly Cornwall' brochures, and doggy toys. Please be aware, we may pet your dogs!!
