*Due to a recent rockfall, the steps down to the beach are closed and will likely remain closed until further notice.
DOG FRIENDLY ALL YEAR
NO LIFEGUARDS ALL YEAR
Access, therefore currently only via Porth Beach and this is extremely tidal, so care must be taken. At low tide as there is lots to explore; caves, rock pools and dry sand for sheltered sun bathing if the wind is blowing off shore. Whipsiderry can be reached by bus along the north coast road (just past Porth) or you can head northwards along the coastal path from Newquay. Whipsiderry is a beach to visit at low tide when there is firm sand to to walk on and caves to explore. Dog friendly, but the very steep steps (when open) are an issue. Porth beach has some dog restrictions during the Summer but you can pass by it at the tide line when they apply.
Whipsiderry Beach is a ten minute drive from Newquay but there is limited partking on site, there are no lifeguards and dogs are allowed all year round.
